Rochester Electronics Continues to Offer Support for AMD FPGA Solutions

Supporting Long-life Applications and Extending Product Lifecycles

Rochester Electronics, LLC completed a strategic inventory purchase covering multiple AMD FPGA product families. These devices find applications in diverse sectors such as industrial, aerospace and defense, and medical, and that require long-term product life support.

Rochester’s inventory includes over 270 unique part numbers, of which over 250 are classified as obsolete and end-of-life (EOL).
Rochester Electronics has over 21,000 units covering AMD Virtex™, Virtex II, Virtex E, Virtex 5, Virtex 6, and Virtex 7 product families. AMD Virtex devices provide dedicated function blocks such as RAM/FIFO memory, DSPs, clock management, and high-performance I/Os.

Highlighting one of the more popular and versatile families, Rochester stocks 500,000 units of AMD Spartan™, Spartan II, Spartan 3, and Spartan 6 devices, including several automotive-grade versions.

Rochester has an additional 40,000 units in stock of legacy FPGA families, including the XC3000, XC4000, and XC5200 series that have already been obsoleted.

Not to be overlooked is a selection of automotive-grade AMD Artix™ 7 and Kintex™ 7 devices, along with 500,000 configuration PROMs.

“For over forty years, Rochester has been providing support for legacy and mature semiconductor technologies. Rochester is proud to support AMD in delivering ongoing customer support solutions for AMD FPGA products, extending product lifecycles for long-life applications.”
