Designed to replace any TO-263 package, Ohmite’s new TSM55 resistor is rated at 55 watts with a thermal resistance of 3.0°C/W in a surface-mount design capable of high wattage dissipation with the proper heatsink and thermal considerations.
On show at Electronica on Stand B6-100, the Ohmite D series heatsinks, coupled with the TKH55, presents a complete solution for your surface-mount wattage requirements.  Non-inductive performance and is suited for precharge and snubber applications enabled by the thick film construction and the elimination of multiple thermal layers including a metal header which creates greater thermal performance .
Sharing the same land pattern as TO-263 with a low profile, the TSM55 has a larger resistance area which promotes higher energy and greater thermal performance and the lack of wire bonds provides greater reliability.
