Garbsen, October 27, 2026, LPKF Laser & Electronics SE presents the CuttingMaster 3290 for the first time at electronica Munich, November 10-13, 2026, in Hall A2, booth 219. The system combines 90 W laser power with LPKF's Tensor Technology, already used in the CuttingMaster 2240. This doubles performance in FR4 applications and makes laser depaneling cost-effective for FR4 thicker than 2.4 mm. Compared with milling, manufacturers gain shorter cycle times and lower unit costs.
Contour and breakout tabs are cut together in a single pass with clean, burr-free edges, so no pre-routing is needed. Three process modes run on the same 90 W platform: CleanCut for precision (stress-free, no carbonization, no heat-affected zone), StandardCut balancing speed and quality, and FastCut for maximum throughput. An extended laser source lifespan and extremely low maintenance keep operating costs low.
Designed for 24/7 series production, the system comes in a manual P version, upgradeable to automation, and a Ci version for inline automation. It handles component heights of up to 40 mm. Based on the field-proven CuttingMaster 3000 platform, it delivers higher productivity than dual-head laser concepts with significantly less complexity and a more compact footprint.
