Two Factory PoCs Put FMC³'s Industrial Embodied AI Agent to the Test
MUNICH | 10-13 NOVEMBER 2026 | HALL B4, BOOTH B4/421
FMC³ Robotics is advancing two industrial proof-of-concept projects that test embodied AI under different factory conditions. One addresses mobile bin handling in consumer electronics manufacturing; the other focuses on battery electrode-sheet processing at a battery cell production site.
In the first PoC, a wheeled robot is tested on a continuous task sequence: picking up a bin, transporting it through an existing facility, positioning itself beside the target equipment and placing the bin at a designated point. The challenge is not one isolated movement, but operating across different workstations and changing production requirements without extensive modifications to the line.
The second PoC focuses on picking, transporting and precisely positioning battery electrode sheets within an existing process. The robot must coordinate grasp pose, placement position and the sequence of operations with the surrounding equipment and tooling.
Together, the projects test whether the same industrial embodied AI approach can support different materials, task chains and robot configurations. Both remain at the PoC stage. FMC³ is using them to assess how data, models, robot hardware and shop-floor processes can work together as a repeatable system—and how feedback from real operations can guide further capability development.
EVENT DETAILS
FMC³ will present the technologies behind both projects at electronica 2026, Future Mobility Pavilion, Hall B4, Booth B4/421, from 10–13 November.
