Tantalum-Niobium International Study Center

The T.IC. was established in response to concerns within the Ta & Nb industry

Company profile

Founded in 1974 under Belgian law, the Tantalum-Niobium International Study Center (T.I.C.) was established in response to concerns about the lack of reliable information on tantalum source materials. Its original purpose was to share information and promote the common interests of tantalum producers.

Over more than 50 years, the T.I.C. has grown to encompass tantalum, niobium and all stages of their supply chains. Today, the Association has more than 90 members in around 30 countries, including miners, processors, refiners, traders, manufacturers, recyclers and end users.

The T.I.C. provides members with an international forum to exchange technical knowledge, discuss supply-chain and regulatory developments, build relationships and address issues affecting the industry.
