The 2D Pilot Line (2D-PL) enables companies to prototype and validate next-generation devices using graphene and related 2D materials – within industry-standard semiconductor processes. 

This EU-funded project provides end-to-end prototyping services for integrating graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) into established silicon platforms. The focus is clear: move 2D materials from R&D to fab-ready technologies. 

Through process design kits and multi-project wafer (MPW) runs, customers can test their designs on shared wafers – reducing cost, lowering risk and accelerating development cycles. Applications span photonics, electronics and sensing, supporting use cases from high-speed data to advanced detection technologies.
